Aeon Imaging has been developing novel confocal imaging technology for over 15 years, including 10 years working specifically with Texas Instruments' DLP evaluation kits. Chances are, if you're working in this area, we've already built something similar to what you need.

How we can help
Optical Design:
We design and analyze imaging systems from scratch in Zemax OpticStudio Pro
Opto-mechanical Design:
We use SolidWorks Pro to design the optical system, complete with mounts and sheet metal and 3D printed enclosures.
Optical Assembly & Testing:
We can build your prototype, align it, and test its performance (not on humans). To keep the project moving, we regularly 3D print and machine mounts as-needed in-house.
Electrical Design & Testing:
We use Autodesk Eagle to design custom PCBs and have years of experience working with Arduino-based microcontrollers. We solder and test our boards in-house.
Hardware Timing:
A properly functioning optical system involves more than just the components; they need to work together. We regularly design circuits to synchronize illumination with imaging sensors using industry-standard communication protocols and interfaces.
Imaging Software:
We build C/C++ user interfaces with GPU-accelerated image processing in OpenGL and CUDA, integrated with a camera and projector's third-party API. We can acquire images, process, and display them back all in real-time.
We also have extensive experience programming applications in MATLAB, including the use of the Psychophysics Toolbox for developing custom vision research experiments.
